About Sheila
An experienced physiotherapist who also runs the clinic’s scans.
Sheila is a highly experienced physiotherapist with extensive clinical expertise in musculoskeletal assessment, rehabilitation and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Having worked across both private practice and hospital settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the management of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including complex presentations, post-operative rehabilitation and patients receiving consultant-led care.
She specialises in the assessment and treatment of back pain, shoulder and knee conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal conditions associated with women’s health. She has a particular interest in pregnancy-related musculoskeletal pain and muscle and joint symptoms associated with the menopause, providing specialist support to patients whose symptoms may otherwise go unrecognised or untreated.
Sheila combines hands-on manual therapy with evidence-based physiotherapy, taking an individualised approach to assessment and treatment. She is committed to helping patients understand their condition, the rationale behind their treatment and the evidence supporting different management options. Her approach focuses on addressing the underlying causes of symptoms, restoring function and supporting long-term recovery.
In addition to her physiotherapy practice, Sheila performs the clinic’s diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound scans. By integrating detailed clinical assessment with ultrasound imaging where appropriate, she can investigate musculoskeletal concerns, support diagnostic decision-making and guide targeted treatment plans. This combination of clinical experience, specialist assessment and diagnostic imaging enables her to provide a comprehensive, personalised approach to musculoskeletal care.

What patients say about Sheila.
Taken from the clinic’s Google reviews.
Just had my first appointment with Sheila for a shoulder injury. She was fantastic! Totally put me at ease, discussed my symptoms and possible causes of the injury, and we have agreed a treatment plan. Absolutely recommend!
I can highly recommend Essex Coast Physio. Staff are very knowledgable and friendly. Sheila always explains things in language I can understand and has helped me manage the pain I was experiencing. I always go home knowing what exercises I need to do.
I have had 2 sessions with Sheila as she has been treating me for Sciatica and stretching exercises. 3rd end of this week. Have already felt the benefit of her excellent care that she has given me. Would definitely recommend Sheila as she puts you at ease and on the road to recovery.
